More skirts

I made more summer skirts they are super easy, and I had to used some fabric that I bought not to long ago. Here is my daughter Karla, she is almost 12, she is very smart, and she is also crafty like me.  :o) She liked her skirt and the idea of pockets for her ipod.

Let me tell you about the fabric, I bought it at Joann for $2 dollars the yard is 100% linen which is an AWESOME deal, and the color is fabulous, I just love it. Below another skirt same color this one for me.

 I like how it looks with the belt and the ruffle tank top,  the top was an XXL long sleeve shirt from Old navy, I bought it on clearance for $2.00. What I did is cut off the sleeves sew that sides to fit my size then make some ruffles with the extra fabric. Very Easy

Summer skirt

It looks like summer is finally here so I made a skirt for Isabela, I followed this tutorial here, but I went out of my comfort zone and added some pockets, and orange bias tape on the hem of the skirt. I thought pockets were hard to make but not at all, they are really easy.  Besides every girl needs some pockets, for all those treasures. I love skirts with pockets so does Isabela. I found this pretty seersucker fabric at Joann it's so light and comfy. Well now that I know how to make pockets I'm making one for myself. Until next time. Thanks for reading.

Thread organizer

I found a better way to organize my little bundle of threads, it was a mess and they were all over the place. Then I saw this idea here but instead of making it with trim like she did, I used an old picture frame I had laying around. This is much better than before.

Hello there, so happy to finally start this. My name is Fabiola,  I'm married to my best friend and love of my life Roberto, and we have 3 kiddos Karla, Isabela and Robert. On my spare time I'm teaching myself  to sew with a little old sewing machine, I found for free on craigslist.
